New Phone Scam
If your phone rings once then stops, be careful, it may be the “One Ring” cell phone scam. Particularly if it’s from a number you don’t recognize.
Scammers are using auto-dialers to call cell phones. The phone rings once, enough for a missed call alert, and hope you’ll call back.
According to the FTC, if you do the chances are you’ll hear something like, “Hello. You’ve reached the operator, please hold.” As you hold you are being charged exorbitant per-minute charges... on top of an international rate. The calls are from phone numbers with three-digit area codes that look like they’re from the U.S. with area codes like: 268, 284, 473, 664, 649, 767, 809, 829, 849 and 876, but actually they are international phone numbers There’s no danger in getting the call; the scam happens when you call back.

Correos and US tariff negotiations
While negotiations continue with the U.S. over tariffs, the Costa Rica government has instructed Correos not to accept posts bound for U.S. addresses. This includes not just parcels, but general mail, as well. QPG will follow this situation and try to keep subscribers informed of any changes.
